DKD
FRENCO was accredited in May 2000 as DKD calibration laboratory DKD-K-27401 for gears and splines by the Deutsche Kalibrierdienst (DKD), the German calibration service. This means that FRENCO is the first DKD calibration laboratory for gears and splines in Germany. Accreditation was awarded in accordance with DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 and is internationally accepted in many countries.
Certificates issued by a DKD calibration laboratory are proof for traceability to national artefacts. Below you will see the calibration structure to illustrate the hierarchy from the national artefact to the product:

With the DKD calibration FRENCO is now authorised to calibrate spur gears completely, i.e. tooth curve and involute artefacts, pitch artefacts und gears with pitch, radial runout and dimension over measuring circles can be DKD calibrated. For further information on the accreditation range visit: http://www.dkd.eu/laboratorien/en/k041i.htm . Our accreditation certificate with the belonging attachment 04 you could download here . Information about the validity of the DKD-certificate you could find here (please click on the flag).

FRENCO also manufacture artefacts themselves. In addition, artefacts and profile, tooth curve, pitch, runout and dimension over balls of high-precision gears can be calibrated. This has so far been unheard of – it is now possible to completely calibrate gears and gear-like artefacts with workpiece-similar characteristics with traceability.
