 | Setting ring gauge | Masters are used when calibrating instruments for size inspections. Their tooth form is identical to that of the gear to be tested. Setting masters normally have a toothed section with only two tooth spaces. When using electronic display units and computers a set of setting masters, consisting of a setting master and a check master, is highly recommended in order to monitor the electronic spread. | |
