By introducing the new ZWP30 double flank gear rolling tester for gears, shafts and worms, Frenco GmbH expands its product portfolio in the double flank gear rolling inspection sector. The new tester was designed specifically for large and heavy workpieces, at the request of many customers. The ZWP30 can accommodate gears with a max. pitch circle diameter of 450 mm and shafts with a length of up to 600 mm.
Its design is robust and optimised for usage in production areas. The extended dimensions and the heavy weight of the workpieces require special components for installation.
The base of the ZWP30 consists of a granite bed onto which the measuring slide, the master gear and the work holders are mounted. To exactly determine the double flank rolling error it is important that the measuring slide moves easily and precisely. This is achieved through a mounting arrangement on crossed roller slides, which ensures that the measuring slide is able to move smoothly and without backlash, even under considerable weight loads.
Furthermore, Frenco is focussing on a simple yet flexible operation of the instruments. Changing over to other workpieces is quick and easy and measurements are carried out manually or motor-driven, depending on customer requirements. Evaluation takes place with either a dial indicator or the proven double flank rolling inspection software 'FGI pro'.

With the new ZWP30 Frenco expands its range of in-house double flank gear rolling testers for gears with pitch circle diameters between 5 mm and 450 mm.
