DKD calibration

The laboratory of FRENCO GmbH is accredited by the Deutsche Kalibrierdienst (DKD, the German calibration service) according to DIN / ISO 17025 as a calibration laboratory for all essential gear and spline criteria (DKD-K-27401). This means, tooth curve artefacts and involute artefacts as well as pitch artefacts and gears with pitch, radial runout and dimension over measuring circle can all be DKD-calibrated. The customer will receive a (DKD) calibration certificate, which explains over several pages the measuring method, location specifications of the measured item and specification of the measurement uncertainties.

Measurement uncertainty of DKD calibrations lies within the following range:

  U (k=2)   U (k=2)  U (k=2)
Profile  F α = 1.5-2.3 µm  f = 1.1-2.0 µm
 f = 1.0 µm
Tooth curve
 F β = 1.7-2.3 µm  f = 1.3-2.1 µm  f = 1.0 µm
Pitch / radial runout
 F p = 1.1 µm  f p = 0.9 µm  F r = 1.1 µm
Dimension over measuring circle
  DOB = 1.5-1.9 µm

The smallest measurement uncertainty to be indicated depends on the size of the artefact.
Details of the accreditation range can be viewed on www.dkd.info/en/_laboratorien.htm . Artefacts which are outside this accreditation range can be factory calibrated.
